After reading Amazon customer reviews for a while I ended up purchasing this RAM mount.
The only real complaint I heard from people is the fact that it fits so snug you can't use it with a case on. To me this was a bonus, as I don't want some big bulky looking mount stuck to my windshield. The mounts which work with cases tend to have clamps which are usually over-sized for the iPhone as they are designed for compatibility with many phones.
I bought a custom ZAG Skin and Invisishield for my phone to protect the glass(and sides) from scratching so I could easily pop my phone into this mount.
The build quality of this unit is great. Once in place and locked down, this mount is rock solid. Once your iPhone is in the mount, it is secured at the bottom corners and top middle section so the phone will never fall out.
The only other comment I can make is I saw a few people commenting on how it would stick to almost any dash surface. Both of my Lincoln's have textured and curvy dash surfaces, which the suction cup is not capable of getting suction. Fortunately I don't care about that and only wanted it for the windshield.

This is a very well put together iPhone 4 cradle that is quite a bit more stable than some of the other offerings out there. The only downside is that the suction cup has a tendency to lose suction in hot weather. But releasing and reapplying the locking device will remedy this problem. Overal it's a very good product.
